Management Profiles

Timothy Froude, P. Geo.

Position: President, C.E.O. & Director

Tim is a graduate of Memorial University of Newfoundland and has been active in the min­eral exploration business for over 30 years. Over that time, he has worked with a number of highly regarded firms including Inco Ltd. where he spent nearly 10 years working on projects in North America and overseas and was part of the team that discovered the Bobby’s Pond massive sulphide deposit in Central Newfoundland. Tim is also directly responsible for the discovery of the Valentine Lake gold deposit in Central New­foundland, currently under advanced stage ex­ploration by Marathon Gold. Over the course of his career, Tim has worked for a number of successful junior companies including Altius Minerals Corporation, Cornerstone Resources, Crosshair Exploration & Mining Corporation and Golden Dory Resources, the latter three com­panies as VP of Exploration. He also spent 1 year serving as Executive Director of the New­foundland and Labrador Chamber of Mineral Resources, now Mining NL. Tim now serves as President and CEO of Sokoman Iron Corp.

 


 

John Ryan, CGA.

Position: Chief Financial Officer & Director

Over 35 years of corporate and financial management experience. In 2000, Mr. Ryan became President of Spruce Ridge Resources, where he has expanded the company’s property holdings and exploration efforts. He is the CFO of Metalore Resources Ltd., a natural gas producer in Southern Ontario. The company is also engaged in exploration of precious metals. He is CFO of Sokoman Iron Corp., a junior exploration company. He also serves as a Director of other public and private companies.

 


 

Colin R. Bowdidge, Ph.D.

Position: Director

Colin R. Bowdidge was educated at the University of Cambridge, where he received an M.A. degree in geology, mineralogy and petrology, and at the University of Edinburgh, where he earned a Ph.D. in geology. He is a registered Professional Geoscientist with the Association of Professional Geoscientists of Ontario, and has been an independent consulting geologist since 1974. He has worked on a multitude of exploration and development projects worldwide in the search for base and precious metals, uranium and industrial minerals, in a wide variety of settings. He has served, and continues to serve, as a director and/or senior officer of several publicly traded mining and exploration companies.

 


 

Cathy Hume

Position: Director

Cathy Hume has worked in the capital markets arena since 1980, first as a stock broker and later as CEO of CHF Investor Relations specializing in corporate communications, media relations and pitching her client stories to investment professionals throughout Canada. She was a Director of PDAC in the 1980s, served on the Board of Governors of the University of Guelph for 2 terms in the early 1990’s and has been co-chair of Women in Mining Toronto for the past 7 years. She is also an External Executive Advisor for the Ted Rogers Leadership Centre.

 


 

Peter M. Dimmell, P. Geo.

Position: Director

Mr. Dimmell is a geologist and prospector who has been involved in mineral exploration in North America (Canada, Mexico and the US) and overseas for 47 years, working with Noranda and Lacana and host of juniors. He is a professional geoscientist (P.Geo) registered in NL and ON and is a Fellow of Geoscientists Canada (FGC). He is a past president (2004-06) of the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada (PDAC), a past Chairman, past executive director and past director of Mining Industry NL, a member and past councillor of the Geological Association of Canada (GAC), Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum (CIM), and an associate member of the Association of Applied Geochemists (AAG) and the Society of Economic Geologists (SEG). He has sat on the Boards, and associated committees, of both TSX and TSX-V listed companies and is currently a director of two public companies, both listed on the TSX-V: Pele Mountain Resources Inc. and VVC Exploration Corp.
